[NAME] (“YOU”/”YOUR”))

This is a general agreement between you the individual acting on behalf of yourself, an agency or company managing content and The Patchbay. By continuing to use the services to sell, you agree to the terms below.

TPB = The Patchbay

  1. The Patchbay is a content management system that you are able to control to a high degree yourself. We give you all the tools to list the content and keep it automated.
  2. We encourage you to use the platform to its full potential, being and remaining active is an integral part of the community we are building.
  3. TPB holds no malice or opinion on individuals, everyone is entitled to join to sell, even if you do not agree with that person.

  1. When a sale is made, the transaction is stored in your account balance.
  2. Payouts are automatic and frequent cycles of no more than 2 weeks. Usually 1 week.
  3. Commission rates are calculated by their respective categories. Below are the rates for categories unless superceded via written agreements.
  4. You MUST make sure a valid PayPal email is recorded in your payment area in settings in the dashboard, TPB cannot be held liable for late or returned payments. Payments will return after 30 days and will be auto-sent to whichever address you have input. This must be filled in otherwise the automatic payment system cannot send your payment.
  5. When a sale is made, an email will be sent to you notifying you.
  6. When a payment is made, an email will be sent notifying you.
  7. TPB reserves the right to periodically review prices to ensure the marketplace is fair. This mostly applies to exclusives uploaded by creators.
  8. We use various technologies such as an automated abandoned cart, which, may offer a slight discount. We reserve the right to deduct up-to and not above 10% from the balance if a sale arises from this process. For example: Original sale price is £10, the cart is abandoned, the system algorithm supplies a 10% discount and the customer chooses to accept this, the end total is £9, the £1 is deducted and commissions are taken from the £9 accordingly.

Any rate discussed and agreed upon in written methods such as Email will supercede the rates below.

SOUNDBANKS & PRESETS 65% (70% If exclusive)

AUDIO SAMPLES & SAMPLE PACKS 60% (65% If exclusive)

PROJECT FILES 65% (70% If exclusive)

MUSIC: 90%

MERCH: 80%

From Sunday 2nd December 2018 The Patchbay will be splitting the payments fees it accrues when processing a payment from a customer and then processing that payment back to the seller. Since 2016 we have absorbed all payment fees. In order to streamline the platform, decrease overheads and make things fair across the board, we will be charging 2% per sale to process it. The other 3% will be absorbed by the platform. Nothing else will change.

To reiterate, we have industry beating rates, no minimum payout amounts, regular bi-weekly payments and we share the payment fee with the seller.
